Tungsten trioxide powder may be applied for producing window heat insulation film.
Tungsten trioxide powder may be prepared by micro-emulsion method. The preparation method has the advantages of no need of heating, simple experimental device, convenient operation, controllable product composition and particle size, and the like. However, it has the disadvantages of high costs and slight agglomeration.
Preparation of Tungsten Trioxide by Micro-emulsion Method
N-butyl alcohol, CTAB and cyclohexane were mixed and stirred. Na2WO4 aqueous solution was added and stirred to obtain micro-emulsion. Under the condition of ultrasonic vibration, micro-emulsion solubilized with hydrochloric acid was added, and a small amount of white colloidal precipitate was precipitated after aging for several hours. The precipitate was then washed with appropriate amounts of absolute ethanol/acetone mixture and distilled water, respectively. The precipitate was dried at 105°C and ground to white powder. After calcination, the spherical particles of WO3 with an average particle size of 40-65nm was obtained.
