Tungsten trioxide powder, which may be applied for manufacturing nano-ceramic color master, can be characterized by XRD, SEM and TEM, etc. And the photochromic properties of the synthesized WO3 can be measured by UV-Vis and color difference meter.
The hydrothermal method was used to prepare WO3. The effects of different pH values and different reaction temperatures on the structure, morphology and photochromic properties of WO3 were analyzed to determine the basic preparation process of tungsten trioxide photochromic powder. And the exploratory study of the photochromic mechanism of WO3 powder was conducted.
On this basis, tungsten trioxide with special morphology was synthesized with n-propanol, formaldehyde and oxalic acid as organic inducers, respectively. Then, the influence of organic inducers on the structure and properties of the synthesized WO3 was analyzed. And it was briefly discussed that what is the mechanism of the special structures and morphologies of tungsten trioxide enhancing photochromic properties.
