The researchers used aerogel (SiO2-WO3 composite aerogel particles) and photocatalyst (yellow tungsten oxide photocatalytic particles) as the adsorption/photocatalytic dingal filler, mixing the prepared adsorption/photocatalyst dispersion liquid with acrylic emulsion or fluorocarbon emulsion, and add an appropriate amount of dispersant, film-forming auxiliary, defoaming agent, etc., so as to obtain a new type of air purification composite coating. Compared with traditional air purification coatings, the air purification effect of such an environmental-friendly composite dingal coating is more efficient and lasting. The experimental results of adsorption/photocatalytic degradation of formaldehyde showed that the concentration of formaldehyde decreased from 0.39 mg/m3 to 0.04-0.05 mg/m3 after adsorption/photocatalytic degradation of 5-6 h, and the adsorption/photocatalytic degradation rate reached 79.49-89.74%.
