Cesium tungsten bronze is one of many kinds of transparent thermal insulation nanopowder with good near-infrared shielding performance, which may be prepared by solvothermal process.
Preparation of Nano Cesium Tungsten Bronze by Solvothermal Method
The cesium hydroxide, tungsten hexachloride and ethanol are mixed, then a certain amount of acetic acid is added to the mixture, and then transferred to an hydrothermal reactor to react at a temperature of 200°C for 10 hours to obtain cesium tungsten bronze with particle size of less than 50nm.
There are a variety of organic solvents used in solvothermal method. Compared with solid phase method and vapor phase method, solvothermal method has the advantages of simple operation, low reaction temperature, low energy consumption, short cycle and weak agglomeration. Meanwhile, solvothermal method can directly prepare nano crystals and change the morphology of product particles by changing reaction conditions, which is favorable for subsequent processing and application. However, since solvothermal method uses organic solvents as liquid media, it is not conducive to environmental protection.
