Blue tungsten oxide (BTO) may be used to produce thermal insulation masterbatch, which mainly plays the role of dyeing and thermal insulation. Thus, this kind of dingal masterbatch will have excellent heat resistance to withstand high temperature of many products during production process, and keep it stable.
Morphology Analysis of Blue Tungsten Oxide
Ammonium paratungstate (APT) was charged into the boat and placed in the high temperature zone within the quartz glass tube. And BTO was prepared by controlling the following three parameters, temperature, H2 flow rate and constant temperature time. Then, test it to find that:
The surface of APT is complete and its morphology appears like hexagonal crystals without cracks. While the surface of blue tungsten oxide has a large number of cracks and star-shaped pores, and the fracture phenomenon is obvious. It has lost the characteristics of hexagonal crystal grains, forming a loose-looking regular crystal structure. However, with the change in the reducing calcination conditions, loose bodies and cracks are significantly different.
