Blue tungsten oxide powder may be applied for manufacturing thermal insulation masterbatch so that it has excellent dispersity. In other words, the masterbatch will be uniformly dispersed in the product. And there will be no debasement of quality.
Effect of Calcing Temperature on Morphology of Blue Tungsten Oxide
Ammonium paratungstate (APT) was used as raw material to prepare blue tungsten oxide by calcing under hydrogen atmosphere. Calcination is performed at a temperature range of 350~550°C. And the prepared blue tungsten oxide was tested to find that:
The influence of calcing temperature on the morphology of blue tungsten oxide is obvious. Cracks are clearly visible at 350°C. But there are fewer cracks. Cracks increase significantly with the increase of temperature, from regular crystal cracks to irregular finer grain crystals. While cracks decrease as temperature continues to rise. This is due to the fact that the recrystallized particles fill the cracks and local shrinkage of particles occurs at high temperature as the temperature rises.
