Tungsten trioxide may be applied for manufacturing heat insulating window glass with high light transmittance and good shielding performance to UV and near-infrared light. And it may be prepared by gas-liquid reaction method.
The gas-liquid reaction method refers to a method in which gas is introduced into salt solution to obtain precursor precipitate, and the precipitate is dried to form ultrafine powder. The method has good safety performance, and the obtained tungsten trioxide powder has small grain size and good dispersibility. However, it has the disadvantages of complicated process and long production period.
Preparation of Tungsten Trioxide by Gas-liquid Reaction Method
Na2WO4 was used as raw material, ethanol/distilled water was added, and the mixture was stirred until it was dissolved. The suspension produced by passing through HCl gas was allowed to stood, centrifuged, washed, dried and then ground to obtain tungsten trioxide with uniform size distribution, good dispersion, irregular shape, and the average particle size below 100nm.
