There are two types of tungsten carbide center drill bits:
1. Type A: Center drill bit without protecting chamfers.
2. Type B: Center drill bit with protecting chamfers.
Wherein, when processing the center hole with a diameter d = 1-10 mm, a center drill bit (type A) without protecting chamfers is usually used.
For drilling the workpieces requiring long processing steps and high precision, a central cone with protecting chamfers (type B) is generally used to avoid damage to the 60° centering cone.
