99.9% tungsten trioxide is a yellow powder that is insoluble in water and soluble in alkali. It can be used to produce tungsten powder.
Tungsten Trioxide Hydrogen Reduction
Tungsten trioxide hydrogen reduction, a traditional high-volume production technology, is one of the producing methods of tungsten powder. The process is generally divided into two stages:
1. The first stage: Reduce tungsten trioxide to tungsten dioxide under 500~700°C.
2. The second stage: Reduce tungsten dioxide to tungsten powder under 700~900°C.
The detailed producing processes are:
1. Input nano tungsten trioxide in hydrogen rotary furnace, and inject hydrogen gas.
2. React for 1 hour under 580°C.
3. Heat up to 800°C and then react for 1 hour.
4. The reacting powder is cooled down in the rotary with protection of hydrogen gas, and then tungsten powder is obtained.
