Tungsten alloy bar has a high density and melting point. It can be used as a balance weight, radiation shield, gyroscope rotor, armor-piercing, high-temperature processing materials, and can also be used for machining.
Characteristic
The density of tungsten alloy bar is generally 16.5~18.5g/cm3, which is 50% higher than lead and also much higher than steel. The melting point is high. Under high temperature conditions, other metals begin to melt and it remains intact.
Applications
Tungsten alloy bar can be used as balance weights for control planes, propellers, navigation tables, flywheels, engines and engine crankshafts.
It can be made into anti-vibration tool holders, filaments, and fuses. Tungsten steel and electrodes with various thermal components are mainly used for guns, artillery, rockets, satellites, aircraft and ships.
It can be used as a radiation shield, gyroscope rotor, armor-piercing, high-temperature processing materials.
In machining, tungsten alloy bar can be used as drilling or single point cutting tools to achieve greater efficiency of drill hole, which be used for diameter drill holes in cannons and cutting conical holes.
