
Hexagonal tungsten trioxide nanowire may be synthesized by hydrothermal method using Na2WO4?2H2O and HCl as raw materials, K2C2O4 and K2SO4 as structure-directing agents respectively. The hydrothermal reaction was conducted at 150°C for 12h. The structure of hexagonal WO3 nanowire obtained presents complex net structure with higher specific surface area, which improves the photocatalytic activity of the material.
